Sad news for Airtel mobile phone users, its a new year and of course we should expect new things, esphcially good ones... But Airtel Nigeria has decided to make us not smile one way or the other.
Airtel has decided to put a data restriction on their free basics, free facebook internet which had been one for free and unlimited for about two years now. Seems people have been using this stuff anyhow.

Sometimes last year, there was a blog post from one of my fellow tech bloggers on how you can load images on the Airtel free facebook using the app and some tricks like that, it seems this trick has gone viral and a misuse as well, you know naija people, anything free, they use it almost anyhow.
So Airtel has decided to make the free facebook 20MB daily from now on. A text message earlier today goes like this:
